Sometimes I see non-native English speakers using swear words.
時々、ノンネイティブが失礼な言葉を使っているのを見かけます。
I wonder if they know how bad these words are, or if they just think it's cool.
彼らはこれらの言葉がどのように悪いか知っているのだろうか、また彼らは単にそれらの言葉をかっこいいと思っているのではないだろうか。
In English the F word is an extremely rude word.
英語でF***の単語は非常に失礼な言葉です。
Please don't use it.
使わないで下さい。
Many Christians (and many non-christians too) find the F word offensive.
多くのクリスチャンは (そして、多くのノンークリスチャンも)「F word」を不快に思います。
Just because you hear bad words in Hollywood movies doesn't mean that they are generally acceptable words.
あなたはハリウッドの映画で失礼な言葉を聞きますが、それらの言葉は一般的に許容可能の言葉じゃありません。
Many Christians also don't like it when people use God's name carelessly.
多くのクリスチャンも、人々が神様の名前をうっかり使うことが好きじゃありません。
For example, many people say 'Oh my God', or 'Jesus!' when they are surprised or angry instead of using the F word.
たとえば、多くの人々は、びっくりしたときや怒るとき、「Oh my God」か「Jesus」言います。これはF wordの代わりに使っているのです。
It's better to say 'Oh my gosh', or 'No way!' or something if you are surprised.
もし、あなたがびっくりしたときは、「Oh my gosh」か「No way!」のほうがいいです。
Another swear word in English is 'sh*t'. It's best to avoid it, although it's not nearly as strong as the F word.
他の英語の失礼な言葉は「sh*t」です。F Wordと同じくらい強くないですが使わないのほうがいいです。

The Language of DNA 言語としてのDNA
If you found an ancient clay tablet with strange characters washed up on the shore, you couldn’t read it, unless someone had cracked the code.
もしビーチに打ち上げられた不思議な文字の書かれた古代の粘土板を見つけても、誰かがそのコードを解読していない限り、あなたはそれを読むことができません。
But you’d still know the letters represented a language, even if you didn’t know anything about the author or his civilisation.
しかし、それを書いた人や彼の文明について何も知らなかったとしても、あなたはその文字が言語を表していることはまだ分かります。
Language is recognisable, even if you can’t read it.
読むことできない場合でも、言語は識別可能である。
Take Morse code.
例えば、モールス信号です。
It has 3 basic parts, dots, dashes, and spaces.
それには三つの部分がある。ドット、ダッシュ、スペースです。
These three simple parts are combined to represent letters.
これら三つ簡単な部分は、文字を表現するために組み合わされます。
There are 26 letters in the English language, which are combined to form over 400,000 words.
英語に26種類の文字があり、四十万単語以上を作るに組み合わされます。
Those words can of course be combined into an infinite number of sequences, or sentences.
もちろん、それらの単語は無限の数の順序を持つものや文になるように組み合わされます。
There is evidence that DNA represents a language.
これらが、DNAが言語を表すという証拠です。
Four basic units, called nucleotides, combine into a code for 20 amino acids.
四つの基本的な部品、ヌクレオチド呼ばれている、は一つのコードに組み合わされます、20種類のアミノ酸のために。
From those few amino acids the body forms more than 100,000 proteins.
その少ないアミノ酸から、体は十万以上のタンパク質を作ります。
Even if you can’t read DNA it still has all the hallmarks of language, a language that biologists are just now beginning to crack.
もし、あなたがDNAを読めなくても、それは全ての言語の特徴を持っていて、生物学者が今まさに解析している言語なのです。
Every tiny cell in our body is packed with 3 feet of DNA; 3 billion nucleotides.
三十億個のヌクレオチド、私たちの体のすべての小さな細胞は、DNAの3フィートが詰め込まれています。
The similarity between DNA and human language is uncanny.
似ているところ、DNAと人間の言語の間、は神秘的です。
In addition to codes both use similar techniques to pack, access, rearrange, copy and translate information.
更に両方をコード化するため、似た技術を使います、パックし、アクセスし、再配置し、コピーし、変換するため。
DNA seems to represent a language, the language of life.
DNAは言語を表しているように見えます、生き物の言語です。
An unseen author, the Creator of Heaven and Earth has left a testimony of his existence in the DNA of every living thing.
目に見えない著者、天と地の創造主は、すべての生き物のDNAに彼の存在の証言を残している。
“God… gives life to all things.” 1 Timothy 6:13

Use it or lose it! This means – use it, otherwise you will
forget it. And remember - as they say in Japanese - persistence is power. Never give up!
使わなければ、失いますよ!この意味は、使いなさい。さもないと、忘れますよ。
そして、日本語のフレーズ「継続は力なり」を思い出して下さい。辞めたらだめよ!
Language learning is like climbing Mt Fuji - you do it one step at a time! Keep climbing and eventually you will reach the top of Mt. Fluency!
外国語の習得は、富士山をのぼるようなものです。。。一歩一歩進みます!のぼり続けると、いつかは頂上にたどり着き、上手く話せるようになりますよ!

2 Most Common Mistakes 二つのよくするの間違い
The
two most common mistakes that Japanese make when using English are…
日本人がの英語を使う時二つのよくするの間違いは 。。。
1. Forgetting plurals 複数形を忘れる。
2.
Mistakes to do with a, an and the - ‘a’と ‘an’そして ‘the’の間違い
So
I decided to write some things that can help you with this. You may have
already been taught about these things but it’s easy to forget and get
confused.
皆さんの参考になるよう、いくつかポイントを書いています。おそらく教えられたと思いますが、忘れたり、間違えたりしやすいと思います。
First
you need to understand that there are different kinds of nouns.
まず、名詞にはいくつかの種類がある、ということを理解する必要があります。
-Proper
nouns – these always have a capital letter, and they never take a, an or the.
For example Brendan, Jusco, Japan. Be careful though – there are several
exceptions such as the USA and the UK.
固有名詞:いつも大文字で始まり、aやan、theを付けることはありません。例えば、Brendan、Jusco、Japanなどがあります。しかし、例外もあるので、気を付けてください。例えば、The USA、とThe UKです。
Normal
nouns – most of which are countable, but some are non-countable. A few examples
of non-countable nouns are liquids such as milk and orange juice. Rice and
flour is also non-countable.
普通名詞:ほとんどが可算名詞ですが、不可算名詞もあります。
不可算名詞の例としては、液体があります。例えば、牛乳、オレンジ・ジュースなどです。米や小麦粉も不可算名詞です。
1.
Plurals. If a word is a countable noun and there is more
than 1 then put s at the end
For example: There are 2 dogs.
If the word is a countable noun and you
are speaking generally then put s at the end
E.g. I like dogs.
複数形:単語が可算名詞で、数が1より多い場合、最後にsを付けます。
例えば、There are 2 dogs.(二匹の犬がいます。)
単語が可算名詞で、一般的な話をする場合は、sを付けます。
例えば、I like dogs.(犬が好きです。)
2.
A, an, and the
For countable nouns the first time you
mention something use a or an (an is for words starting with the vowels a,e,i,o,u,(but
not words like university as the u here is a yu sound and y is not a vowel).
可算名詞を文章で最初に使うときには、a か an を付けます。(母音(a e i o u)で始まる単語には an を使いますが、university のUはYの音なので母音ではありません。)(A Universityが正しいです。An Universityは間違いです。)
For example: I saw a bear. I saw a big
bear.
例えば、僕は熊を見ました。大きな熊が見ました。
For countable and uncountable nouns the
second time and thereafter that you mention something use ‘the’.
同じ可算名詞と不可算名詞が二回目以降話題に出す時はtheを使います。
For example: I saw a bear… The bear was
big.
I ate some rice… The rice was good.
例えば、僕は熊を見ました。。。その熊は大きかったです。
御飯を食べました。。。その御飯は美味しかったです。
These are the main rules, but there are
also exceptions to the rules that you need to learn. The most important thing
is to keep practicing and not give up.
これは主なルールですが、例外もあるので勉強する必要があります。
一番大切なことは練習を続け、辞めないことです。
