"Noah" movie 『ノア』の映画

The movie "Noah" starring Russell Crowe is due for release March 28th 2014.
ラッセル・クロウが主演の映画『ノア』が2014年3月28日に公開されます。

The movie is based on the Bible account of Noah, Noah's Ark, and the global Flood (See Genesis chapters 6-9).
映画は聖書に収められている、ノア、ノアの箱舟、そして地球の大洪水に基づいています。（創世記６－９章）

I’ve heard that the movie makes it look like God judged the world because of environmental pollution.
映画では環境汚染が理由で神が世界を裁いたかのように演出されていると聞いたことがあります。

But the Bible says that God judged the earth because of sin and not pollution.
しかし、聖書によると、汚染ではなく、罪のために、神は地球を裁くのです。

In the great Flood of Noah only 8 people survived.
ノアの大洪水では8人だけが生き残った。

It is interesting to note that the word for ship (fune) and the word for flood (kouzui) both contain the number 8.
洪水（洪）にも船にも両方に8番（八）が含まれていることに注意することは興味深いです。

I really believed I was Japanese.
自分が日本人って信じきっていたから

So suddenly I felt like I didn’t belong anywhere.
居場所がなくなった感じ。

When you’re young you don’t want to be different. You want to be like everyone else.
もんなと同じになりたかった。

I feel disconnected from Japan.
日本自体にあまりつながっている気がしていなかった。

Each year over 20,000  half-Japanese babies are born.
毎年生まれるハーフの子供達は２万以上。

I feel like Japan is changing.
日本は変化していると思う

Everyday you see all these little half Japanese children running around.
ハーフの子どもは珍しい存在ではなくなりました。

I discovered that there were many people that had similar backgrounds.
自分と同じような背景の人が実はいっぱいいるんだって気づいて、出会いたいなと思った。

He realised that he didn't have to try to become someone that everybody else expects him to be.
彼は誰かに言われた通りの自分になる必要はないと分かったようです。

There’s prejudice and racism wherever you go.
どこにいても偏見や差別はあるし、

I want to connect with people who can see me for me.
人間としてちゃんと人を見れる人間と繋がっていけばいいんだと思った。

Instead of disliking what’s different if we embrace and learn from it then Japan will have such a bright future.
違うことを嫌うのではなく、受け入れて学んでいくことによって、日本の未来が凄い明るくなるんじゃないかなって思います。
